This was a simple yet profound statement of fact. I think we all have things we would edit if we could. Alas
This part is more a wish of hind sight and a fantasy. well done and I am sure each reader will what they need from this that is it's beauty.

You know I really liked this! So few lines, yet I saw so much in them. Do have one thing to add. Don't we wish we could? At least I do!

Ahhh! Neil, as usual, your mastery of wit and ability to capture the essence of a difficult subject and present it succinctly and with calulated brevity, never ceases to amaze me. A migical literary gift to be taken out and enjoyed for a long time to come.

Your attention to detail keeps the reader excited all the way through from the surprisingly fresh opening fusilade, through the stormy, sometimes emotionally tempestuous middle section, all the way to the eternal, poetic, tantalising end.
